Waterproofing:  This heater is not waterproof and should not be immersed.
Applications:  Sonic cleaning tanks, enclosure heating, anti-freezing, food warming, ink drying


This heater is capable of reaching 450 degrees F on the surface when operated in open air at 70 degrees F.  Fully insulating one side of the heater with no heatsink on the other side will cause the heater to exceed its limit.  This will delaminate and destroy the unit.

A heatsink can be adhered to the heater with silicone RTV adhesive or clamped into place with a backing plate.  If more flexibility is required for your application, other fiberglass or silicone combinations can be used.  An example of this would be to wrap around a pipe or vessel where the heater will be frequently removed.
