Surveillance Puts the Heat On

Two-week turnaround on cost-effective wire heaters to keep glass surveillance panels from fogging up.

 

Customer: Security firm for a major theme park.

Problem: Security screening sensors installed in unobtrusive glass panels malfunctioned when the glass fogged up in high humidity.

Constraints:  Time and money. All costs attached would be outside the original contract, and thus had to be minimized—and the fix was needed immediately.

Solution:  Hi-Heat Industries developed a heater that eliminated the fogging of the glass caused by condensation, without affecting the transparency of the panels.

Delivery:  Hundreds of heaters were designed and produced, from prototype to delivery, in two weeks.
